Our focus

Welcome to Foundation Chiropractic of Longview, TX. Thank you for trusting us with your health. A little introduction to Foundation Chiropractic of Longview, TX,… The majority of chiropractors in this area, and the chiropractic profession as a whole, are what would be characterized as “conventional.” Conventional chiropractors are excellent at temporarily decreasing muscular tension, increasing range of motion, and of course, temporarily reducing pain. There are many wonderful conventional chiropractors in this area, virtually all of whom are very capable practitioners. Here at Foundation Chiropractic in Longview, the focus is significantly different from conventional chiropractic care. Our focus is called Structural Correction, the purpose of which is to identify the underlying shifts in the spine that are typically responsible for a myriad of symptoms - properly known as secondary conditions. Some of these secondary conditions include numbness/tingling, neck pain, low back pain, headaches - most notably migraine headaches, loss of strength, and muscular imbalance. Knowledgeable healthcare practitioners, including many well-known neurosurgeons and orthopedic doctors, refer to the underlying shifts in the spine as structural abnormalities. After taking a thorough history and fully understanding your current condition, our goal is to explain to you in very simple terms - what exactly is a structural abnormality, how we determine - with complete certainty if they are present, and how we go about customizing a corrective plan of care to efficiently restore your health. Once we have corrected your structural abnormalities, we will show you how to protect the progress that you’ve made under our care so that you not only feel great today and tomorrow, but months, years, and decades down the road. We are excited to have you as a patient at Foundation Chiropractic Welcome to our family!

Dr. Ashley Mayes

I was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, and graduated from Bullard High School in 2003. I pursued my undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Tyler and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. Throughout this time I suffered debilitating migraine headaches which led me to seek out natural care. I quickly realized how amazing Chiropractic is and made the decision to become a Chiropractor. While in Chiropractic school I married my wonderful husband Terry and became a family with his two boys, Cade and Cody. I graduated from Parker University College of Chiropractic with my Doctorate of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Science in Anatomy, and Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness in April of 2014. We opened Foundation Chiropractic in Longview, Texas in late 2015. I believe that Chiropractic restores our bodies to their optimal state. My treatment focus is structural spinal correction using a gentle force technique, instead of traditional manual manipulation to correct any interference in your nervous system. This means no twisting, snapping or popping. I also offer classes and workshops to help you get the most out of your care.
